Ah... here goes another grandma's advice from a teenager.
I know that this might be your current thoughts in your voice.

Our generation doesn't look at visiting temples as something cool and attractive compared to parties or a concert.
But after reading the following lines I hope atleast some might change their opinion on this.
1. Activating the 5 senses

Sight : Upon seeing the god's idol which would be mostly surrounded by a darkness or little light.
It it said that this helps the devotees to concentrate their focus on the idol rather than the surroundings. There is even a exercise of this kind in Yoga known as Trataka.
Touch : Upon seeing the idol we generally keep our hands together in Namaskar position which activates the organs related to each finger through a method known as Acupressure
Hearing : Upon striking the bell present in temples. It is said that they resonant at a certain frequency which makes your left And right hemisphere to be in synchronized.
Smell : Well we get to smell various fragrances of various natural flowers surrounded in the temple premises .
Taste : I hope you'd never had missed this part when you had visited temples. The prasadam or the food offered given to the diety which is later shared among devotees. The prasadam is always a sattavic food which is most preferred by the body for its optimal performance.
2. Ever wondered why we are asked to come into temple bare footed and in certain temples, boys are not allowed to wear any shirt or any clothes to cover their upper part..weird right . But wait ..

What if there's a hidden science which is in general the temples are not build anywhere as they like. It is generally build in locations where the positive energies are usually high, and in order to ensure to absorb the energies we have to walk bare foot as the our body is good conductor or current.
And also the main diety which would be installed in the center of Temple known as Garbhagriha or Moolasthanam, the idol is like a prism which absorbs all the positive energy from the earth and scatters it around the idol that's why we walk around the idol in circles for a repeated amount of number.
